Saturday, April 17, noon, at Mary Utley Community Center, Augusta, GA
The headline guests are Art as an Agent for Change, spoken word and performance artists who mobilize youth for advancement and action. They are to perform original works inspired by the 1967 Martin Luther King, Jr. speech in which he publicly proclaimed his opposition to the war in Vietnam.
We’re also screening a short film about how people in West Oakland are cooperating to get fresh produce to people who never had access before.
We are also honored to have Caitlin Barrow, a representative of Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition, talk about its upcoming 2nd Annual Be the Change Youth Convergence. We’re collecting donations to fund scholarships for CSRA youth to attend.
Mark your calendars so that nothing gets in your way of attending this great event!
